The Lily Garden features many of the exotic Turk’s cap lilies and trumpet lilies that in their vivid colors are often defined as tiger lilies. Most of these species have their origins in the far east, but have been cultivated elsewhere for many years. The Lilies bloom in late May and June and reach a height of about three feet. They enjoy full sun. The beds are also planted with annuals that provide color after the lilies have bloomed. Beside this specimen garden of beds between meandering paths, two benches give a pleasant overlook of all our species gardens in this section of the park.
